Maintenance Assistant Director

The Assistant Maintenance Director is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Director with day to day activities as well as night-time on-call every other week.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Responds to all work order requests and completes to facility standards.
2. Completes aesthetic improvement plans both inside and outside the building that includes but not limited to painting, including touch-up painting, staining woodwork, drywall repairs, and minor building repairs.
3. Provides hands on repairs on an as needed basis to ensure a pro-active approach to all maintenance activities.
4. Assists new house keeping with moving furniture in rooms as well as moving residents when appropriate..
5. Performs daily rounds to ensure building upkeep.
6. Responds promptly and courteously to residents, family, and staff requests for assistance always.
7. Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, vendors, families, and employees.
8. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits always.
9. Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
10. Knows, understands, and follows established policies and procedures in emergency situations.
11. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies, and procedures always.
12. Complies with attendance and call off policy.
13. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.
